When is your child ready for a leakproof sippy cup?

You can introduce the Mepal leakproof sippy cup when your baby is around six months old. Some babies might be ready earlier, while others may need a little more time. Because the cup has a leakproof valve, your child needs to be able to suck quite firmly to drink from it. You can make things easier by removing the valve. The cup will still work, but it will no longer be leakproof. However, when the valve is in place, we guarantee the sippy cup won't ever leak. Upside down, on its side and especially in your bag – not a drop will escape!
