01: What are Mepal's insulated bottles and mugs made from?
The bodies of our insulated bottles and mugs are made from (coloured) stainless steel to keep your food and drinks hot or cold for as long as possible. The caps and lids are made from durable polypropylene (plastic). All of our insulated bottles and mugs are leakproof and 100% BPA free.

02: Are Mepal insulated bottles and mugs dishwasher safe?
The plastic parts of all our insulated bottles and mugs can be cleaned in the dishwasher. However, the bodies of our coloured insulated bottles and mugs may fade if they are cleaned in the dishwasher. We recommend washing these products by hand. The Natural brushed (silver) versions are completely dishwasher safe.

03: How long do Mepal's insulated bottles and mugs keep food and drinks hot or cold?
It depends on what's inside them! Food and drinks will stay hot for 4 to 12 hours and cold for 8 to 24 hours. Specific details about how long each product will keep food and drinks hot or cold can be found on the product's detail page. For the best results, fill your bottle or mug with hot or cold water before you use it and let it stand for a few minutes. Want your drink extra cold? Just add a few ice cubes!
